Pam and Max flew in Thursday Aug 16 with intentions of flying to Marfa on Friday and returning to Andrews on Sunday. As it turned out the weather changed their plans. They stayed in Andrews until Sunday morning. They flew and we drove to Marfa. The weather was great and the landscape was beautiful. We spent Sunday afternoon driving around. There wasn't many options for dinner but lucked out with the only cafe that was open having delish food. After dinner we drove out to see the Marfa lights. Apparently it was the best show in a while. Max said we would see them and sure nuff we did. Monday morning we went to the McDonald observatory. Had lunch in Ft Davis before the drive home. Pam and Max flew home Tuesday morning. Charlie dog had to stay home but successfully pestered Pam and Max for a couple of days. I think he wants to stay with Randall when we go to Mt Rushmore in a couple of weeks.
